Attaching Files

Adding a file attachment to WebCT email, discussion postings, assignments, etc. is very Java dependent. If you are unable to attach a file, the majority of the time, it will be a Java related issue.

How to add an attachment to an assignment

Open the assignment in WebCT (the will vary from course to course)

Click the Add Attachments button.

Click the My Computer icon. If you do not see the My Computer icon, you may not have Java installed/configured properly in your browser or you may not have accepted the Java applet security you first received when logging into WebCT.

After clicking My Computer, you can browse to the location of your file and select it by double-clicking it. The file will be uploaded to your WebCT File Manager and the file will be attached as shown in the next image.

Attachments - Verify Attached File and Submit

Verify you see the file name as an attachment. When complete, click Submit. Your assignment is not submitted until you click Submit.
